10.21 Million Tons New Sugar Produced, Sales 5.53 million Tons in 2019/20

China had produced 10.21 million tons sugar till the end of April in 2019/20, 471,700 tons less than the 10.76 million tons in last campaign. Of which cane sugar was 8.82 million tons, 549,100 tons more than the 9.37 tons in same period last campaign; beet sugar processing winded up, recording 1.39 million tons, 94,400 tons more than the 1.30 million tons in same period last campaign.
 
5.53 million tons sugar had been sold during the campaign, 241,700 tons more than the 5.77 million tons in same period last campaign. The sales ratio had been 54.14%, 7.83 percentage points lower than the 61.97% in same period last campaign. China had sold 4.62 million tons cane sugar till the end of April in 2019/20, 197,000 tons more than the 4.81 million tons in last campaign. The sales ratio had been 52.53%, 1.15 percentage points less than the 51.38% in the same period last campaign. It had sold 912,100 tons beet sugar till the end of April, 44,700 tons less than the 956,800 tons, the sales ratio had been 65.49%, 7.52 percentage point less than the 72.74% in the same period last campaign.
