l By the end of April, a total of 47,429,700 mu of spring afforestation had been completed nationwide, accounting for 46.96% of the annual planned tasks and basically the same as the same period last year.
l In 2019, China imported 962,100 cubic meters of particleboard, down 2.72% year-on-year; the top five sources were Romania, Thailand, Malaysia, Brazil and Canada. Particleboard exports were 316,400 cubic meters, down 4.36% year-on-year. The  main destinations include Mongolia, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, South Korea and Saudi Arabia. 
l n 2019, China imported 7.4539 million pieces of wood furniture, down 15.89% from the previous year, with the import value of 766 million USD, down 17.01% from the previous year. 
l In the first quarter of 2020, the total trade value of timber and wood products in China was 10.104 billion USD, down 20.10% year-on-year. Among them, the import value was 4.549 billion USD, down 14.33% year on year; export value fell 24.28% year-on-year to 5.555 billion USD. 
l On May 4, the United States announced 146 new exemptions and amendments to its 200 billion USD tariff list, including 11 categories of furniture. 
l On May 18, the Ministry of Environmental Protection approved the seventh batch of restricted imports, of which 55,810 tons of waste paper was approved for import.
