Yunnan: 11/12 Campaign Ended, 2.01 Million Tons Sugar Produced

The 2011/12 campaign started on 2nd December, 2011 and ended on 13th May, 2012 in Yunnan, and it lasted for 164 days. Altogether 16.0036 million tons of canes were crushed, 1.876 million tons more year on year; 2.0136 million tons sugar was produced, 252,200 tons more year on year; sugar yield 12.58%, up 0.11 percentage point year on year.

Altogether 754,300 tons of sugar had been sold by sugar producers till 13th May, up 8,900 tons year on year; the production sales ratio was 37.46%, down 6.06 percentage points year on year; sugar price 6400-6360 yuan/ton in Kunming and Dianwei, down 500-510 yuan/ton year on year.

Sugar producers in Yunnan produced 110,400 tons alcohol during the campaign, 74,600 tons had been sold till 13th May, making the production sales ratio at 67.57%.
