Yarn Producers’ Profit in July in China

The prices of cotton, 40-count yarn and 32-count yarn recorded RMB18,226/MT, RMB27,083/MT and RMB26,615/MT respectively in July, down 0.78%, 0.49% and 0.25% respectively from the month before, down 16.68%, 18.85% and 16.96% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
The cost of energy, power, shipment, labor, etc. added up to more than RMB5,433 per ton of yarn in July. Yarn producers’ profit was estimated to be RMB1,397/MT in July, suggesting a profit ratio of 5.64%.
