Production of raw milk in China: Heilongjiang

Dairy cattle inventory stood at 580,000 in Daqing in the first half of the year, up 8.3% year on year, the average milk price was 2.95 yuan/kg, the same as in last year, the highest was 3.8 yuan/kg, the lowest 2.94 yuan/kg, the price for milk from smallholder farms was 2.4 yuan/kg and the price for milk from scaled farms was 3.7 yuan/kg.

Currently there are 120,000 dairy cattle inventory in Gannan County and Feihe (Gannan) dairy processing project was introduced. The budget for the project is 120 million yuan and the project shall become the largest whey processing plant in China.

The Farm Reclamation 93 Administration Bureau shall have 100,000 dairy cattle by the end of the year.

There was 3390 increase of dairy cattle in Bei’an City in the first half of the year. 15 specialized dairy farming villages were set up, 17 dairy farming zones were built, there re 575 specialized farming households and 37 large-scale farming households. 

In the first half of the year Heilongjiang set up and renovated 191 dairy farms.

Duerbote County shall invest 270 million yuan in 2012 for setting up 27 farming zones, and all of them shall be set up and put into operation by the end of the year.

Milk collection was steady in Daqing in July and the price fluctuation was small.

Dairy cattle inventory recorded 457,000 in Harbin in 2011 and the total milk output was 1.43 million tons. The city shall set up more than 50 scaled dairy farming bases in 2012. The increase of dairy cattle shall be 20,000 in 2012 and the increase of milk output shall be 70,000 tons.
