Flour Production & Consumption in July
By CnAgri2013-09-03 10:46:01 Print According to the National Bureau of Statistics, flour production by medium and large mills was 11.023 million MT in July. Deducting repetitive statistics, BOABC supposed that flour production was 6.43 million MT. Taking into account of carryin and imports, flour supply was 7.128 million MT in July, an increase of 5.26% on the year-on-year basis.Domestic flour consumption was 6.433 million MT in July.
Flour consumption for food use was 6.144 million MT in July, including 2.887 million MT consumed by households, 1.779 million MT by the catering industry and 1.477 million MT by the food industry.
Besides, 254,000 MT flour was consumed for feed production and 35,000 MT for industrial uses.
Of the flour consumed for food use, 34.04% were consumed by rural households, 27.57% by the catering industry, 22.89% by the food industry and 10.7% by urban households.
Flour price was RMB3,074/MT in July and RMB3,086/MT in January ~ July, up 9.11% and 9.57% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
Flour inventory was estimated to be 674,000 MT at the end of July.
