Fertilizer Price Trend This Week(Jan. 13-19th 2014)
By CnAgri2014-01-20 09:24:25 Print Urea: urea market saw no great change this week and price in individual enterprises saw tiny fluctuation. With Spring Festival coming, demand from downstream industry began declining greatly and agricultural winter reserve remained tepid. Manufacturers would not raise price significantly in short terms since it is now time to collect payments. Though it is still uncertain what news it will bring, Indian bidding is still expectable. For once the price is ideal, domestic market will be boosted more or less. So domestic urea market will remain steady before the bidding. It is predicted domestic urea price shall remain consolidation with weakness. (Figure 1)ABC: ABC market remained stable with basically unchanged retail price. (Figure 2)
DAP: domestic DPA market remained tepid. Most manufacturers were carrying out previous orders, which would last till the end of February. Mainstream DAP quotation remained stable currently and is hard to see improvement in future. But influenced by high sulfur price, the cost increases. (Figure 3)
NPK: NPK market kept stable this week. With well production condition, quotation rose slightly in some areas. With Spring Festival coming, actual turnover price was lower than quotation. Operating rate declined in some areas for some manufacturers made regular maintenance in the year end and natural gas was inadequate. On the whole, with demand release later and raw materials prices rebound, NPK price is predicted to be raised nominally. (Figure4)
MOP: domestic MOP market kept stable this week. Supply of white potash and red potash remained tight in border trade and ports and price remained stable. Base don current condition, market price will see no great change before coming out of big contracts. Another thing worth noting is that it is said railway freight fee may raise 4 cents each Km for each ton goods in February, which will add fertilizer selling cost. (Figure 5)
SOP: SOP price saw a nominal increase with tight supply. Orders have been scheduled till after Spring Festival. SOP market is expected to remain well but the price shall remain steady or increase slowly. (Figure 6)
