China Importing Soybean 5.91 Million MT in Jan. 2014
By CnAgri2014-02-19 09:40:58 Print China imported soybean 5.91 million MT in Jan. 2014, down 20.14% from Dec. 2013 and up 23.57% from the same period of 2013.In Jan. 2014, soybean import cost averaged USD568/MT, down USD2/MT compared with DEC. 2013.
According to customs statistics, China imported soybean 63.405 million MT in Jan,-Dec. 2013, up 8.58% from 2012, accounting for 84% of domestic consumption. With good consumption of domestic soymeal and huge crushing profit, BOABC predicts China soybean imports shall see further increase in Feb. 2014.
