India Sown Area Surpasses 2012-13 Area by 84%

Sowing of kharif crops in India has picked up in the last week. The total sown area as on 28.4.2013, as per reports received from States, stands at 250.99 lakh hectare as compared to 135.87 hectare at this time last year.
