Nidera's Clearfield sunflower keeps expanding
By CnAgri Print Clearfield (CL) Plus sunflower, developed in Argentina by Nidera, keeps expanding around the world. This material is resistant to BASF’s Clearsol Plus herbicide, based on the active principles of the imidazolinone family, allowing to handle better, among other advantages, a big problem for crops: weeds. The new international expansion of this genetics begins because two European companies join the over 25 world seed companies that have already licensed the CL Plus technology, said Nidera.
Euralis Semences and Limagrain have just announced they will join the seed companies from the United States, Europe and Africa, which are licensees of this technology. “In this way, the world sunflower map is almost complete with the latest big technological jump of the sunflower”, stated members of the Argentinian company.
