India: Sugar Production in 12/13 to Rise to 25.50 Million Tons

Insiders predict sugar production may rise by 1.6% to 25.5 million tons in India in 2012/13, whereas the Government forecasted 25-25.2 million tons production for the current campaign.
ISMA forecasts sugar production to be 26 million tons in 2011/12, 1 millon tons more than the forecast made by the Government.
