In the first 5 months of 2012, pace of pesticide investment increase continued to slow down, and the amount of investment project saw a further decline. Meanwhile, unit investment amount went up to 3.73m Yuan from 2.87m Yuan last year. Besides, the proportion of bio-pesticide also went up to 40.6% from previous 34.8%.

In the first 5 months of 2012, industry investment hit 11.07b Yuan, up 16.4%, obviously lower than the increase in the first 4 months, and this accounted for 2% of total planned investment, almost the same over last year. This includes 4.50b Yuan in bio-pesticide industry, up 36.0%. While it was 6.58b Yuan in chemical pesticide industry, up 6.0%, and its proportion went down to 59.4% from 65.2% last year.

So far as the end of May, there were 297 projects under construction, down by 10.3%, including 141 newly started projects, down by 31, and 79 finished construction, down by 19 over last year.
