Raw milk production in China in July: Gansu

Till the end of June Baiyin City had 21,00 dairy cattle, up 19.66% year on year; milk production was 12,600 tons in the first half of the year, up 24.75% year on year. In the first half year, the city government and the Construction Bank (Baiyin) reached an agreement on dairy farming loan. 150 million yuan loan has been confirmed. The four dairy farms of 1000 inventory, newly set up in 2012, are all in operation. There are 16 scaled farms in total in the city and another 4 farms of 1000 inventory are being built. The farms being built shall be set up and put into operation before the end of the year.

Linze County set up 5 new standardized farms and renovated 3 zones in 2012. So far there are 183,900 beef cattle, of those 10,900 are dairy cattle, 40,200 offtake and milk production 12,500 tons.
