Rapeseed Imports in January ~ October

By CnAgri2012-12-12 10:36:25 Print     China’s rapeseed imports registered 2.269 million MT in January ~ October, a significant increase of 158.1% on the year-on-year basis. Fangchenggang Maple Grain and Oil Industrial Co., Ltd., Chinatex Cereals, Oils Import & Export Co., Ltd. and Dongguan Fuzhiyuan Feedstuff Albumen Development Co., Ltd. ranked top three with an import volume of 511,000 MT, 436,000 MT and 434,000 MT respectively.
 
    Fangchenggang Maple Grain and Oil Industrial Co., Ltd. had a rapeseed-processing capacity of 600,000 MT/year and its rapeseed meal production was 363,000 MT last year. The company’s rapeseed imports increased from 155,000 MT in 2011 to 511,000 MT in January ~ October this year, mainly because of the help of Viterra Asia PTE Limited, Canada’s largest rapeseed supplier and a major shareholder of Fangchenggang Maple Grain and Oil Industrial Co., Ltd.
