Flour Production & Wheat Consumption in November

By CnAgri2012-12-17 10:46:44 Print Flour production by medium and large mills was 11.891 million MT in November, 5.8% more than the month before and 3.02% more than the same period of last year. Flour production by such mills totaled 113.09 million MT in January ~ November, an increase of 7.91% on the year-on-year basis.
 
The promulgated figures showed a flour production increase of 6.4% in November and 15.3% in January ~ November, both on the year-on-year basis.
 
Medium and large flourmills consumed about 16.069 million MT wheat in November and 153 million MT in January ~ November.
 
Deducting repetitive statistics, flour production and wheat consumption were about 7.396 million MT and 9.994 million MT respectively in November.
 
Small mills ran at 23.6% of their capacity and medium and large mills 52.7% in November.
 
Wheat consumption for various uses was estimated to be 11.448 million MT in November. Wheat inventory was 94.171 million MT at the end of November, suggesting a stock index of 8.2.
 
Wheat inventory consisted of 58.47 million MT state reserve, 17 million MT flourmills’ stock and 24.11 million MT on-farm stock. Farmers sold 79.79% of their wheat by November, 4% more than the same period of last year.
 
Wheat price averaged RMB2,254/MT in November and RMB2,168/MT in May ~ November, up 7.44% and 4.64% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
