China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-02-04 11:17:28China Agriculture Report Print 1. In 2012 the dairy cattle inventory recorded 36,000 in Dengkou county. It’s goal is to become the national largest organic processing center in the five years to come, 15 organic farms of Shengmu Gaoke shall be set up and there shall be 300,000 mu organic eco grassland. Mengniu organic farm shall also be built up. The number of organic dairy cattle shall surpass 100,000 in the county.

2. There are 89 dairy farming zones in Chifeng city, the dairy cattle inventory is 180,000 and the yearly milk output is 400,000 tons. Mobilized by Yili (Chifeng), Yuanbaoshan District has set up 30 scaled dairy farms, 30 standardized milk stations and the dairy cattle inventory is 41,000. The milk output has totaled 75,700 tons.

3. In 2012 Taipusiqi Banner had 37,000 dairy cattle. There are 9 dairy farming zones, 24 dairy farming villages, 11 dairy farms and the scaled farming rate is 45.6%.

4. In 2013 Huhehaote plans to have 200,000 mu of quality alfalfa to meet the demand of the city.

5. There shall be an increase of 100,000 dairy cattle (of which 50,000 from elsewhere) in Huhehaote in 2013 and the existing 96 family farms and zones shall be consolidated and upgraded.

6. In 2012 there were 10520 dairy cattle in Yixin Village, Duerbote County and the average yield was 5.4 tons. Silage was grown on 17,800 mu of land and alfalfa on 10070 mu.
