ISO: Forecast on More Sugar Surplus in 12/13
By CnAgri2013-03-06 10:29:14 Print In its latest report, ISO raised the global sugar surplus forecast by 2.3 million tons to 8.5 million tons in 12/13 thanks to more production in Brazil.The report says the global sugar production shall broke another record by registering 180.4 million tons in 12/13, up 3.2%, 2.8 million tons more than the forecast made in November.
ISO expects to see 171.8 million tons consumption, maintaining 2.1% healthy growth, slightly higher than the five year average of 1.9%, 400,000 tons more than the forecast made in November.
