Price Increase of Beef and Mutton Slow Down

Beef: On Jan. 23th, 2013, in the beef wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of fresh boning-out leg meat is RMB48.78Yuan/KG, up 0.29% compared with last week. With coming of Spring Festival, demand for beef stabilized and increasing space for beef price is predicted to narrow. (Figure 2)




Mutton:
On Jan. 23th, 2013, the mutton wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of bone-in fresh mutton is RMB50.92Yuan/KG, up 0.26% compared with last week. With coming of Spring Festival, increasing of mutton demand slowed down and it is predicted mutton price shall increase slightly.  (Figure 3)
