Though Urea Export Tax Up, Export Volume Hit a New High

Though urea export tax was brought up to 110% in November, urea export volume in November hit a new high in this year, accredited to the large stock in bonded warehouses. Urea exports were 1.448 million MT in November and 5.29 million MT in January ~ November, up 61.6% and 60.6% respectively on the year-on-year basis. Monthly urea exports stayed above 1.2 million MT from September to November. Urea exports may total 5.5 ~ 6 million MT in 2012. Urea export price dropped from $404/MT in July to $369/MT in November. For five consecutive months, urea export price was below the same period of last year.DAP exports were 448,000 MT in November and 3.615 million MT in January ~ November, up 140% but down 3.3% respectively on the year-on-year basis. DAP export price was $553/MT in November, down 3.6% on the year-on-year basis. From May to November, DAP export price kept sliding on the year-on-year basis. From July to November, DAP export price fluctuated between $545/MT and $555/MT.
MAP exports were 63,000 MT in November and 523,000 MT in January ~ November, down 8.6% and 35.8% respectively on the year-on-year basis. MAP export price was $481/MT in November, down 4.7% on the year-on-year basis.
Exports of AS, TSP and NP compound fertilizer recorded 209,000 MT, 93,000 MT and 31,000 MT respectively in November, up 12.9%, down 8.2% and down 95% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
