Grain Purchase in China Major Provinces by Dec. 5th

Grain enterprises purchased new keng rice 13.96 million MT totally in 6 main production areas like Heilongjiang and Jiangsu etc., increasing 5.05 million MT from last year. Grain enterprises purchased new corn 18.93 million MT totally in 11 main production areas like Heilongjiang and Shandong etc., increasing 1.04 million MT from last year. Grain enterprises purchased new soybean 1.14 million MT totally in 4 main production areas like Heilongjiang and Jilin etc., increasing 0.24 million MT from last year.
By Dec. 5th, totally 119.02 million MT 2013 grains was purchased (120.16 million MT including soybean), 56.262 million of which was purchased by state-owned enterprises; fall crop totaled 54.83 million MT (45.97 million MT including soybean). Rice that was purchased totaled 45.59 million MT, 22.1442 million of which was purchased by state-owned enterprises.
By Dec. 10th, raw grains purchased in Anhui totaled 15.3548 million MT. Wheat totaled 8.0493 million MT and paddy rice totaled 6.5797 million MT, including mid-late indica rice, 5.6959 million MT, keng rice, 708,800MT, corn, 629,900MT, soybean, 74,100MT and other grains, 23,800MT, among which, state-owned enterprises purchased 8.1253 million MT raw grains, 3.9377 million MT wheat and 4.0943 million MT paddy rice, including mid-late indica rice, 3.6358 million MT, keng rice, 367,800 MT, corn 92,900 MT and soybean, 368 MT. 3.8117 million MT rice, 3.4401 million MT mid-late rice and 303,700 MT keng rice were purchased with protective procurement price.
By Dec. 5th, grain enterprises in statistics purchased grains 14.81191 billion Kg in Hubei province, up 2.698 billion Kg from last year, in which, 5.14 billion Kg was purchased by state-owned enterprises, up 1.312 billion Kg. In the purchase, mid-late rice totaled 9.628 billion Kg, up 2.057 billion Kg from last year, 6.293 billion Kg of which was new rice, up 1.367 billion Kg. Preliminary statistics showed that 2.118 billion Kg mid-late indica rice was purchased with protective procurement price.
By Dec. 5th, grain enterprises purchased mid-late indica rice 2.3 billion Kg in Jiangxi, up 1.085 billion Kg, of which, 1.27 billion Kg was purchased with protective procurement price, accounting for 55.2% of total purchase. Paddy purchase price remained stable in Jiangxi. Most purchasers are state-owned enterprises, whose purchase accounted for 58% of total purchase. Processing enterprises favored high quality mid-late rice.
