China Alfalfa import in September 2013
By CnAgri2013-12-20 09:42:19 Print Data from China Customs indicate China imported 604,772 tons alfalfa (including particles, powder and hay) during the first nine months of 2013, up 91.29% year on year; the monthly averaeg import price was 376 US dolalrs/ton, down 6.14% year on year; of which the import in September was 91,564 tons, up 69.03% year on year, the import price was 362 US dollars/ton, down 1.74% year on year. During the first nine months, the domestic scaled dairy farms developed quickly, there was insufficient supply of qualiyt fodder, which led to a rapid growth of alfalfa import.From “China Dairy Market Monthly Report”
