Urea Price Hard to Recover
By CnAgri2013-12-25 09:30:15 Print Urea: urea market ran stable this week and price saw slight fluctuation in some areas. Urea price was kicked upward in Shandong. Demand from agriculture was weak and purchase from NPK manufacturers slightly supported price; in Hebei, mainstream quotation was stable and operating rate was insufficient. With slow progress of winter storage, enterprises had pressure of delivering; in Henan, previous orders were executed gradually and new deals were slack; in Guangdong, urea wholesale price increased slightly with few arrivals. In current market, since dealers have covered short positions previously when price was low, it will be much more flexible for next purchase. Therefore, urea price is hard to recover in short terms with few new orders and high level of stocks. (Figure 1)From “China Fertilizer Market Weekly Report”
