China Alfalfa Import in Nov. 2013
By CnAgri2014-01-15 10:07:14 Print Data from China Customs indicate China imported 92,363 tons alfalfa (including particles, powder and hay) during the first eleven months of 2013, up 83.03% year on year; the monthly averaeg import price was 375 US dolalrs/ton, down 5.87% year on year; of which the import in November was 76,539 tons, up 89.25% year on year, the import price was 370 US dollars/ton, down 2.15% year on year. During the first eleven months, the domestic scaled dairy farms developed quickly, there was insufficient supply of qualiyt fodder, which led to a rapid growth of alfalfa import.From “China Dairy Market Monthly Report”
