By CnAgri2014-01-17 09:40:38 Print According to Chonqqing Export and Import Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, State Quality Inspection Bureau approved to set up two fruits import port authority at Chongqing Jiangbei international airport and Cuntan Port.Construction of fruits import port authority comprises of hardware and software facilities. Hardware facilities include inspection site, cool storage facilities, processing facilities and inspection facilities. According to the schedule, Jiangbei airport authority will strive to finish and be put into operation by February 2014. Cuntan port authority will strive to finish and be put into operation by June 2014.
Setting up port authorities is great news to Chongqing fruits enterprises. For a long time, large amount of fruits have to travel through Shanghai, Guangdong, Shenxi and Guangxi before it arrives Chongqing, and then by the means of air, rail and road, fruits finally enter the various large scaled fruits wholesale markets in Chongqing. The cost for logistics is high, and quality can’t be guaranteed, and it’s time consuming as well. After the port authorities are in operation in Chongqing, time will be shortened and cost will be reduced, which leads to higher competitive edge of the products.
