China Dairy Production in the First 11 Months of 2013
By CnAgri2014-01-17 09:44:31 PrintDomestic dairy processing was largely affected by the shortage of raw milk supply in Q4 of 2013, especially the production of liquid milk was lower year on year. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics indicates the total dairy production stood at 23,253,000 tons during the first eleven months of 2013, up 5.8% year on year, of which liquid milk 21,105 tons, up 6.08% year on year; solid dairy 3,477,000 tons, down 3.82% year on year. In November, the production of liquid milk was 2,004,000 tons and solid dairy 321,000 tons. The slip of liquid milk was 2.91% year on year and solid dairy down 28.80% year on year.
The production of milk powder stood at 1,321,000 tons during the first ten months, up 6.39% year on year, of which production in October was 143,000 tons, up 4.27% year on year.
