Corn Price to Decline with Inventory Increase

Corn: On Feb. 12th 2014, the average wholesale price of feed corn in main production areas is RMB2,329Yuan/MT, down 0.17% compared with the week before Spring Festival. Around Spring Festival, the gloomy demand for corn caused significant increase of corn inventories in ports. With time going by and spring planting coming in NE, farmers are positive in selling grains, which will worsen port inventories in NE. And port price upside down shall continue. BOABC predicts domestic corn spot market shall generally remain weak in recent and price shall see minimal decline in some areas. (Table 1)From “China Livestock and Feed Market Weekly Report”
