Investment in Fertilizer Industry in 2013

The fertilizer industry poured RMB164.8 billion into its fixed asset construction in 2013, an increase of 17.08% on the year-on-year basis. 2070 projects were under construction in 2013., increasing 247 projects from 2012, of which 1,502 were kicked off , up 14.13% YOY, far higher than 2.5% in 2012, 1363 were completed, up 16.3% YOY. 

Specifically,  respectively 7.755 billion yuan, 7.57 billion yuan, 41.5 billion yuan and 55.56 billion yuan was invested in phosphate, potash, organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer industry, down 22.7%, up 32%,  up 42% and up 30% respectively YOY.  Investment in nitrogen industry increased 3.65% YOY.

In 2013, investment proportion of various fertilizer saw increase except nitrogen and phosphate.

The average sum of investment per project was RMB79.61 million, a growth of 3.1% on the year-on-year basis. The investment for per nitrogen, phosphate, potash and compound fertilizer project was 175.89 million yuan, 70.5 million yuan, 113.01 million yuan and 78.59 million yuan respectively, a growth of 7.7%, 6.1%, 13.9% and 8.5% respectively.
