9.15 million Tons New Sugar Produced, Sales 4.54 million Tons

China had produced 9.15 million tons sugar till the end of April in 2016/17, 602,100 tons more than the 8.55 million tons in last campaign. 4.54 million tons sugar had been sold during the campaign, 508,000 tons more than the 4.03 million tons in same period last campaign. The sales ratio had been 49.60%, 2.45 percentage points lower than the 47.15% in same period last campaign.

China had sold 3.95 million tons cane sugar till the end of April in 2016/17, 438,300 tons less than the 3.51 million tons in last campaign. The sales ratio had been 48.77%, 3.19 percentage points lower than the 45.58% in the same period last campaign. It had sold 587,100 tons beet sugar till the end of April, 69,700 tons more than the 517,400 tons, the sales ratio had been 56.07%, 5.54 percentage point less than the 61.61% in the same period last campaign.
