US approval for Bayer CropScience's herbicide Tribute Total for use on zoysiagrass

China Agriculture Report By CnAgriChina Agriculture Report Print Bayer Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP, recently announced Tribute™ Total (active ingredients: thiencarbazone-methyl + foramsulfuron + halosulfuron-methyl) can be used on zoysiagrass. Tribute Total – a novel post-emergent herbicide – delivers broad spectrum control in one complete solution to help lawn care managers and golf course superintendents selectively remove the most troublesome grassy and broadleaf weeds, sedges and kyllingas.

“Lawn care managers and superintendents face weed pressure throughout the growing months from a variety of species,” said Jeff Michel, Herbicides Business Manager for Bayer’s professional turf and ornamentals business. “Tribute Total provides turf managers a complete solution for problem weeds without the need to tank mix multiple products, saving them time and money.”

Tribute Total helps superintendents and lawn care professionals better manage their labor input by eliminating the need for multiple products. Approved for use on bermudagrass and now zoysiagrass, it is effective against 55 grassy and broadleaf weeds including dallisgrass, crabgrass, and yellow and purple nutsedge.

About Tribute Total

At a use rate range of 1 - 3.2 oz per acre, each 6 oz container of Tribute Total treats 1.875 – 6 acres. After application, the product is readily absorbed by the foliage and carried to the site of action in the growing points of the susceptible weed. Additionally, with a 60.5% water dispersible granule formulation, Tribute Total requires less storage space, transportation, and less frequent container disposal.
