Raw Milk Price Slid Further in April 2019

Raw milk price kept on rising during consecutive seven months from August 2018 to February 2019, hitting the highest level of 3.62 yuan/kg since 2015.
March 2019 saw lowering of raw milk price. The price declined further in April, the weekly level dropped from 3.56 to 3.53 yuan/kg, and the monthly average was 3.54 yuan/ton, down 0.05 yuan/kg MoM.
According to insiders, milk production shall surge and the price shall trend even lower alongside the warming up of the temperature and arrival of the calving season. Milk price should go through a U shape in 2019.
