Sample Report
Brief Introduction:
In 2017, China’s layer industry experienced H7N9 epidemic situation and industrial cycle. Egg prices once dropped to 4yuan/kg, the lowest price in recent ten years, and then rebounded to more than 8yuan/kg in September. Drastic fluctuations in prices will drive transformation and upgrading of layer industry in scale and business mode.
(1) The degree of scale raising of layer is increasing. Farmers suffered great losses in the first half of 2017, and some small and medium-sized farms exited from the market for weak raising technology and capital strength. In addition, the state scaled up implement of breeding-prohibiting and breeding-restricting policies, a large number of small farmers were forced to give up raising, which led to slight decline in layer inventory. The degree of scale raising of layer (with more than 10,000 layer on hand) reached 51.6% in 2016, and is expected to increase further in 2017. The proportion of farms each with 30,000-50,000 layers on hand will rise further, and the share of enterprises each with an inventory of 500,000 layers will increase significantly.
(2) Large enterprises and social capital enter into layer industry on a large scale, and brand egg enterprises make expansion rapidly. In 2017, dozens of layer farms each with annual inventory of over 1 million layers were built. CP Group has expanded its overall capacity of layer raising to about 20 million birds and plans to finish 20 three-million-layers whole industrial chain projects in five years, and then its layer inventory will reach 80 million birds. Relying on golden chicken poverty alleviation mode, DQY expands capacity rapidly, and it layer inventory has passed 10 million birds in 2017. When all projects reach designed capacities in 2019, DQY’s layer inventory will reach 53 million birds, then DQY will be among the list of top 3 egg products enterprises. The market share of regional brands such as Sun Daily Farm, Hongxuan Agriculture, Gegeda, Hubei Shendan Healthy Food Co., Ltd., Liujiang Ecological Animal Husbandry, Rongda, Yang’s Agriculture and others is increasing stably.
(3) Raising mode is diversified. Currently, small and medium-sized farmers are the main part of layer raising, accounting for about 70%-80% of the market share. It’s predicted that individual farmers will gradually turn to “cooperative + farmer” mode, at the same time, “integrated operation” mode and “company + farmer” mode will develop rapidly.
The report will make in-depth research on the development trend of domestic layer industry and the operation models of major enterprises and conclude the investment trends of domestic enterprises and capital to assist enterprises, capital and insiders to grasp the moving tendency and investment opportunities and determine suitable development mode and resources needing integration.
