Crude Pesticide Export Go Downwards in China

Chinese crude pesticide import was 5,742 tons in April, down 14.2% over last year and 27.9% over last month. In the first 4 months of 2012, total pesticide import hit 26,329 tons, up 14.2% over last year, including wholesaled fungicide 8,732 tons, retailed herbicide 7,196 tons and wholesaled herbicide 3,625 tons respectively, and the three varieties above accounted for 72.9% of total import.

Chinese crude pesticide export was 80,849 tons in April, up 5.2% over last year and down 12.6% over last month. In the first 4 months of 2012, total pesticide export hit 310,343 tons, up 10.1% over last year. The proportion of herbicide (both retailed and wholesaled) hit 69.5%, up 4.5% over last year. On the other hand, the proportion of retailed pesticide was 38.4%, up 8.4% over last year.

In April, FOB price of wholesaled insecticide, fungicide and herbicide was 3,815 dollars, 4,397 dollars and 2,736 dollars, up 6.9%, -4.4% and 9.6% respectively over last year.
