Yellow phosphorous price saw rebound in August in China

After the continuous weak performance during the past 3 months, yellow phosphorous price saw dramatic rebound amid decreasing inventory and power short. In August, average price of yellow phosphorous price was 16,500 Yuan per ton, up 6.5% over last month. Affected by the increase in international market and lower inventory in major ports, sulfur and liquid chlorine price also went up slightly by 3.1%.

On the other hand, methanol and benzene derivatives continued to uptrend since July. In August, methanol price hit 2,500 Yuan to 2,550 Yuan per ton, down by 4.3% over last month. Pure benzene price was 8,600 Yuan per ton, down by 6.5%. Toluene, phenol and xylene also went down slightly.
