Pesticide industry investment hit 14.71b Yuan in China in the first half of 2012

In the first half of 2012, industry investment hit 14.71b Yuan, up 17.0%, including 8.29b Yuan in chemical pesticide industry, up 17.0%, and 6.41b Yuan in bio-pesticide industry, up 8.4%. On the other hand, unit investment went up substantially, average investment per project was 4.37m Yuan, up 34.8%. it was 3.97m Yuan in chemical pesticide, up 31.7% and 5.01m Yuan in bio-pesticide, up 36.4%.

In the first half of 2012, finished industry investment accounted for 28.7% of total planned investment, lower than the level of 29.0% last year. And the proportion of bio-pesticide went up to 43.6% from 39.2% last year.

So far as the end of June, there were 337 projects under construction, down by 13.1%, including 183 newly started projects, down by 15.7%, and 96 finished construction, down by 27.3% over last year.
