Wood Price Continued Declining in April

Cyprus debt crisis brought concerns to market and dollars went strong; domestic economy went stable with weakness and demand saw no obvious recovery with coming of busy season. Besides, with oversupply of production materials, capacity released quickly once demand increased slightly, which caused increase of inventory. Under such background, market price of production materials continued with weak trend in March and decrease rate enlarged.As for wood products, the price continued declining with weak recovery of demand, down 0.42% from last month and decrease rate enlarged 0.2%. As log price went down, wood price declined 0.09% but the decrease rate narrowed 0.34% from last month.
