Alfalfa Import in May
By CnAgri2013-07-02 12:51:51 Print Data from China Customs indicates China imported 209,533 tons alfalfa (including particles/powder and hay) during the first four months of 2013, up 62.12% year on year; the monthly average import price was 384 US dollars/ton, down 7.08% year on year; of which import in April was 61,464 tons, up 73.97% year on year, import price 382 US dollars/ton, down 7.96% year on year; the import was mainly from the US. During the first four months, domestic scaled dairy farms developed quickly, there was insufficiency of quality fodder and alfalfa import witnessed a rapid growth.From “China Dairy Market Monthly Report”
