Analysis on China MDF Export and Trade in the First Three Quarters

By CnAgri2013-01-08 11:31:12 Print Global demand for MDF all increased a great extent except Japan since this year, which played an important part in boosting MDF import from America, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Iran, with import from America increasing to 518,600m³, account for 23.11% of China total MDF import and up 23.38% compared with last year, Russia, up 26.54%, Saudi Arabia, 26.46% and Iran, 19.93%.  With economy recession in Japan and the influence of “Diaoyu Islands” on trade between China and Japan, export of MDF from Guangdong to Japan decreased greatly from up 1.69% in the first half year to down 36.02% in October.
 
With output of MDF increasing and furniture decreasing in all provinces, supply exceeded demand and price went down. Thus export competition became fierce, in which situation, though, Guangdong exported 89,500m³, up 2.46% compared with last year.
