Wheaten & Rice Food Production in July

By CnAgri2013-09-02 13:40:53 Print China’s wheaten and rice food production registered 2.053 million MT in July, 1.15% more than the month before and 15.31% more than the same period of last year. Wheaten and rice food production totaled 13.863 million MT in January ~ July, an increase of 24.73% on the year-on-year basis.
 
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, snack noodles production was 834,200 MT in July and 5.684 million MT in January ~ July, up 1.79% and 13.51% respectively on the year-on-year basis. Fast-frozen wheaten and rice food production was 466,000 MT in July and 2.985 million MT in January ~ July, up 12.07% and 13.54% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
 
Cracker production was estimated to be 617,000 MT and cake production 136,300 MT in July.
 
Wheaten food producers consumed about 1.268 million MT flour in July and 8.477 million MT in January ~ July, up 10.99% and 19.56% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
 
158,100 MT rice was consumed in July and 1.108 million MT in January ~ July for rice food production, up 29.05% and 36.78% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
