Shelled Peanuts and Peanut Oil Price Trend in Year-end

Shelled Peanuts and Peanut Oil: price for peanut oil remained stable and that for shelled peanut declined this week. Domestic peanut oil market remains slack at present. In the year-end, farmers’ reluctance of selling peanut is not strong and oil plants’ desire of purchasing peanut is weak with slow delivery of peanut oil. What worsens domestic peanut market is that China peanut exports declined in Jan.-Oct. 2013. But the General Administration of Customs declared to categorize shelled peanut as baked peanut, whose rate of export tax rebate is 15%. If the policy is carried out steadily, peanut export is expected to be pulled back from the brink. Plus domestic peanut consumption is likely to recover in year-end, so it is predicted shelled peanut price shall stabilize from declining and peanut oil price shall remain stable.
