Review of Grain Planting Profit in China in 2012

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-12-23 10:02:00China Agriculture Report Print The unit yield was 6770kg/hectare in 2012, up 2.13% from 2011 and up 11.50% from 2004. Annual growth rate was 1.37%. Slow growth rate of paddy lowered down the whole level. Average selling price of farmers was RMB2397/MT, up 69.5% from 2004 with annual growth rate of 6.92%. Unit output value was RMB16572/hectare, up 86.64% from 2004 with annual growth rate of 10.34%. Planting cost saw rapid growth as well with annual growth rate of 11.38% from 2004 to 2012, of which, the annual growth rate of labor cost was 12.86%, land cost, 15.07% and material and service cost, 8.98%, all higher than annual price growth rate, which caused profit and cost rate of three major grains to decline significantly.
