Dairy Products Import in 2013

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2014-03-06 10:33:07China Agriculture Report Print According to customs data, the import of dairy products (H.S.0401, H.S.0402, H.S.0403, H.S.0404, H.S.0405 and H.S.0406) recorded 1,590,265 tons in 2013, up 53.15% year on year; the import value was 5.18 billion US dollars, up 76.77% year on year; the average import price (CIF) was 3,257 US dollars/ton, up 16.05% year on year. In December the import of milk powder kept at a high level due to the shortage of raw milk and rapid upsurge of price, while during the same period the import of fresh milk, whey, milk fat and cheese continued to grow, which spurred the rapid growth of the gross dairy import.
