China Dairy Production In 2013

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics indicates the total dairy production stood at 26,980,300 tons in 2013, up 5.15% year on year, of which liquid milk 23,359,700 tons, up 7.01% year on year; solid dairy 3,621,000 tons, down 9.17% year on year. In December, the production of liquid milk was 2,120,000 tons and solid dairy 340,000 tons. The year on year slip of liquid milk was 3.85% and solid dairy down 15.32% year on year.
The production of milk powder stood at 1,458,800 tons during the first eleven months, up 7.09% year on year, of which production in November was 138,000 tons, down 2.27% year on year. The production of milk powder should be 1,531,000 tons in 2013, up 6.8% year on year.
