In recent years, corn consumption for industry use surged. During deep processing, 5% of protein waste will be produced, named maize yellow powder, international price for which is USD200/MT. Maize yellow powder contains about 60% protein, more than half of zein. Zein is constituted of hydrophobic amino acid, which determines zein easily to form film, having a broad application prospect.
