Industrial consumption of grain and corn

According to the statistics of the National Association of Grain Sector, the output of deep processed corn starch was 2.21 million tons, an increase of 7.28% over the previous year, consuming 3.6 million tons of corn, and the total production of starch was 2.41 million tons.
In addition, the output of alcohol, liquor, and beer was 620,000 kiloliters, 790,000 kiloliters, and 3.36 million kiloliters, down by 23.54%, 26.54%, and 5.40% respectively from the previous year. The total grain consumption for brewing was 2.9 million tons, a decrease of 24.92% over the previous year, and 1.65 million tons of corn is used for brewing.
On the whole, the industrial consumption of corn in April was 4.25 million tons, down by 5.48% year on year; the total industrial consumption from January to April was 21.2 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.90%. In April, the monthly domestic corn consumption totaled 19.12 million tons.
