1) Northeast and Eastern Inner Mongolia: The northern part was exposed to normal rainfall and lower temperature. For more rainfall in central, waterlogging appeared in some portions. In the southern and southwestern areas, drought continued to develop, which has a significant negative impact on agricultural production.
2) Xinjiang Agricultural Region and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Ecological Zone: there were rainfall in parts of northern Xinjiang, but the amount of rainfall was less. In the southern part, there was no rainfall, and the temperature was higher. It’s of significance for maintaining the stability of the national border to accelerate ecological construction and the development of water-saving agriculture, increase investment in logistics facilities, and reduce the logistics cost of products leaving Xinjiang.
In the central and southern area of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, there was abundant precipitation, which is beneficial to the restoration and maintenance of the ecological environment. Geological disasters occurred in some eastern areas.
3) North China and the Northwest: due to less rainfall, most of the north area occurred serious drought. It’s of great significance to accelerate ecological construction in these areas. Abundant rainfall in the southern and southwestern areas was good for the development of summer crops.
4) Jianghuai, Jianghan and Huanghuai Plain: the abundant rainfall in the central and southern parts is conducive to the development of summer crops. Good production of autumn grains is of great significance for maintaining the stability of the macro economy throughout the year. Drought in the northern region has a negative impact on agricultural production.
5) South of the Yangtze River and South China: Most of the areas in the south of the Yangtze River were rich in light and heat, which is conducive to early rice harvesting. Heavy drought-stricken area in Dongting Lake expanded further, which is not conducive to the accumulation of water source and impacts agriculture and shipping. Due to serious insufficient of water in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, drought occurred, which is unfavorable to agricultural production. The overall precipitation in South China was less, affecting production.
