Industrial Profits Increased from January to November
By CnAgri PrintFrom January to November, the industrial profits of enterprises above designated size achieved 4,662.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.0 percent. In November, the industrial profits of enterprises above designated size achieved 638.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.8 percent.
From January to November, the profits of state-owned and state-holding industrial enterprises above designated size gained 1,258.5 billion yuan, decreased 6.2 percent, that of collective-owned enterprises reached 71.1 billion yuan, increased 8.9 percent, that of joint-stock enterprises stood at 2,730.4 billion yuan, increased 4.7 percent, that of foreign funded enterprises, and enterprises funded from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan achieved 1,073.1 billion yuan, decreased 6.3 percent, and that of private enterprises gained 1,494.6 billion yuan, increased 18.0 percent, year-on-year.
Within 41 branches of industrial divisions, the profits of 30 industrial divisions increased year-on-year, that of 10 declined, that of 1 turned to get loss continuously, year-on-year. Of which, the profits of petroleum and natural gas extraction industry increased 0.5 percent, that of agro-food processing industry rose by 16.6 percent, that of manufacturing of general equipment increased 1.6 percent, that of the manufacture of automobile industry increased 7.4 percent, that of manufacturing of electrical machinery and equipment increased 6.1 percent, that of communication equipment, computers and other electric equipment production went up by 11.5 percent, that of production and supply of electric power and heat power expanded 62.9 percent, that of raw chemical materials and chemical products went down by 10.1 percent, that of ferrous metal mining and processing decreased 47.9 percent, that of processing of petroleum, coking, processing of nuclear fuel turned to get net loss which increased by 4.1 times year-on-year.
The revenue from principal business of enterprises above designated reached 82,332.5 billion yuan, ballooned 10.8 percent, year-on-year. The cost of main business revenue for per hundred yuan stood at 85.14 yuan, with the margin hit 5.66 percent.
The revenue from principal business of state-owned and state-holding industrial enterprises grew to 21,791.5 billion yuan, increased 6.0 percent, year-on-year, the costs of revenue from principal business for per hundred yuan stood at 82.71 yuan, with the margin hit 5.78 percent, that of collective-owned enterprises reached 1,051.1 billion yuan, increased 8.1 percent, the costs of revenue from principal business for per hundred yuan stood at 85.18 yuan, with the margin hit 6.76 percent, that of joint-stock enterprises reached 47,600.2 billion yuan, increased 12.9 percent, the costs of revenue from principal business for per hundred yuan stood at 84.97 yuan, with the margin hit 5.74 percent, that of foreign funded enterprises, and enterprises funded from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan achieved 19,963.8 billion yuan, increased 5.0 percent, the costs of revenue from principal business for per hundred yuan stood at 86.11 yuan, with the margin hit 5.38 percent, and that of private enterprises gained 25,381.7 billion yuan, increased 17.5 percent, the costs of revenue from principal business for per hundred yuan stood at 86.06 yuan, with the margin hit 5.89 percent.
By the end of November, the total volume of receivable accounts for industrial enterprises hit 8,546.2 billion yuan, went up 15.9 percent, year-on-year. The total value of finished products for industrial enterprises accounted for 3,049.2 billion yuan, went up 7.9 percent, year-on-year.

1. Explanatory Notes:
Total Profits: refer to the final achievement of production and operation activities of the enterprises, represented by total profits after deducting losses (loss is expressed by the negative figure).
Revenue from Principal Business: refers to total income of enterprises gained from principal business operation.
Receivable Accounts: refers to the funds received by enterprises from units purchasing goods or receiving labor services through selling goods, products, proving labor services and etc.
Finished Goods: refers to manufactured products which are ready for sale by the end of report period.
The costs of revenue from principal business for per hundred yuan = The cost of revenue from principal business/The revenue from principal business×100
The margin of revenue from principal business= Total profit/The revenue from principal business×100%
2. Statistical Coverage
Since 2011, enterprises above designated size refers to all industrial enterprises with revenue from principal business over 20 million yuan (the former is 5 million yuan).
3. Data Collection
Since 2011, the Financial Report of Enterprises Above Designated Size conducts complete survey by month (the data on January are not required to report).
4. Standard Industrial Classification
Since 2012, the new Industrial Classification for National Economic Activities (GB/T 4754-2011) was implemented by NBS, the industrial divisions were expanded to 41 from 39, please refer to http://www.stats.gov.cn/tjbz .
5. The profit growth rate in November was calculated on comparable basis.
