Pesticide Sales Turnover Over 15b Yuan in 1st Quarter of 2012 in China

In 1Q of 2012, Chinese pesticide sales turnover hit 15.54b Yuan, up 21.4%, including chemical pesticide 13.36b Yuan and bio-pesticide 2.07b Yuan, up 18.0% and 48.5% respectively. The proportion of bio-pesticide was 13.4%, up 2.4% over last year.

The aggregate sales-output ratio of the industry was 96.0% in March, same over February and 1.33% down over last year. That of chemical pesticide and bio-pesticide is 96.2% and 94.4%, down 0.69% and 6.63% over last year. The figure was 95.0% in 1Q of 2012, down by 0.86%.

Jiangsu accounted for 39.3% of total domestic sales, down 1.3%, and the top 3 provinces, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shandong, accounted for 62.6% of total, down by 1.5%.
