Broiler Chick Weekly Price in Major Provinces of China

By CnAgri2012-12-24 14:05:51 Print Broiler：On Dec. 19, 2012, in the major broiler wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of fresh chicken meat is RMB14.61Yuan/KG, up1.53% compared with last week. The purchasing price from farms of broiler chicken was RMB9.82Yuan/KG this week, down 1.80% compared with last week, the chick price was RMB2.33 each, down 3.00% compared with last week. Peak season for meat consumption has come with the cold weather and frozen food demand in downstream increases. Therefore, it is predicted chicken price shall increase slightly in short periods.
 
This week the average wholesale price of live broilers is RMB14.69Yuan/KG in main producing regions, down 2.13% compared with last week. low grade yellow broiler chicken was under promotion and mid-high grade yellow broiler chicken price is still high with stable consumption. and consumption is hard to go up recently. Price for yellow broiler chicken is predicted to keep stable and may go down slightly. (Figure 4)
