ISO Raised Forecast on Global Sugar Surplus to 6.18 Million Tons in 12/13

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2012-12-25 11:09:06China Agriculture Report Print     ISO raised the forecast on global sugar surplus to 6.18 million tons in 2012/13 and the price shall be pressed.
 
    According to ISO quarterly report, the latest assessment again proves the low-stock era for four consecutive campaigns since 2008/09 shall come to an end.
 
    This forecast is higher than the previous projection of 5.86 million tons, but lower than the 6.99 million tons in 2011/12.
 
    Owing to the big stock, the price fell from the record level of 36.08 US cents/pound in 2011 to 19.00 US cents/pound.
