Coffee Import in October

    The import of coffee with theine and without roasting was 4,722 tons in October 2012, up 8.59% from the previous month; valuing 11,936,000 US dollars, up 17.10% from the previous month; the average CIF price was 2,528 US dollars/ton, up 7.84% from the previous month. From January to October in 2012, the total import of coffee with theine and without roasting stood at 34,874 tons, up 0.68% year on year; the import volume registered 86,092,000 US dollars, up 2.00% year on year.


 
The import origin of coffee with theine and without roasting was mainly Indonesia in October 2012, recording 2,898 tons, accounting for 61% of the total import by China; Vietnam and Brazil took the 2nd to the 3rd rank and their aggregate was 1607 tons, 34% in the total.


Guangdong was still the main importing province in October, recording 2663 tons, accounting for 56.40% of the national import. From January to October 2012, Guangdong imported 21,723 tons of coffee of this kind, accounting for 62.29% of the national total import.
